Official tvOS 16 Release Date is Here for Apple TV HD and Apple TV 4K Owners - Get Ready for Download on the 12th of September
Apple didn’t say a word regarding tvOS 16 during WWDC’s opening keynote, but that doesn’t mean the update does not exist. Apple has been seeding betas to developers and public beta testers, and now the company has announced the official tvOS 16 release date, too. It is set for the 12th of September. On the features’ end, you pretty much get nothing at all. If your usage of Apple TV is limited to just YouTube, Netflix, and a little bit of Apple TV+, then you can’t even tell what is new compared to tvOS 15. But, the new tvOS 16 does update your set-top box to the latest software technologies, allowing it to perform at its best whenever you turn it on using the Siri Remote. at the time of writing, Apple sells two models of the Apple TV - HD and 4K. Both will receive the tvOS 16 update. If you have an older model HD or 4K device with the older Siri Remote, that too will get the update. And it makes sense that they would, as it is an extremely different device compared to something like an iPhone, iPad, or Mac. If you’ve been excited about a new version of tvOS, then you will end up pleased in a few days.
